Dorothea Walters, Treasurer
(650) 365-2890 Dorothea has been
with SBTJS for some 12 years now, and is keeping
the club's treasury going, a role she took over
from her late husband. She draws some of her
expertise from her career in the retail business,
from which she is retired. In between enjoying
her 2 children and 3 grandchildren, she likes
strummin' the banjo. |

Mary Weir, Membership
Mary has been a member of the Society since
1983. She has served as the Membership Director
since 1990. In addition to those responsibilites,
from 1998 she has also been the person who monthly
has addressed and mailed out the South Bay Beat!

Laurita Cattour, Hospitality
Laurita’s love of interacting with people
has been put to full use as the Hospitality
person for the last 9 years. Her background
as a professional dancer shows on the dance
floor. ( Laurita also gives dance instruction
of the Balboa, a Dixieland/ Ragtime dance.).
Laurita retired three years ago from a career
of fashion modeling, photo modeling, movies,
TV and commercials. |

Jim Rouse, Webmaster
Jim is now retired from a long
career as an electronic engineer, including
44 years at Lockheed! Though not a musician,
he has been a longtime fan of Dixieland music.
Taking on this webmaster job was a good excuse
to get the latest technologies. Jim is still
active with hobbies as photography, hiking,
snow skiing and traveling. |

Don Abel, Website Designer
Don began playing the trumpet
in 4th grade. It was Sacramento's Jazz Jubilee,
along with recordings by Lu Watters and South
Frisco JB, that kindled his love for traditional
jazz. A software professional, Don plays cornet
in the South Bay Stompers JB, along with lead
trumpet in the San Jose Metropolitan Band. Music
is complemented with other activities as bicycling,
volleyball, photography and movies. |
