Zinfandel Stompers

The Zinfandel Stompers Jazz Band was started in 2008 by Jim O'Briant. It is a new band but is made up of very experienced members. Check out the names and credentials below. They are making their debut playing for a Jazz Society. This group should become one of the better traditional bands in the area.

Personnel:

Don Abel - Cornet  

Don currently is a member of the South Bay Stompers and other bands. He is a frequent jammer with South Bay

Rick Siverson - Reeds

Rick has played with the Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, Churchill Street and the Varsity Ramblers.

Howard Miyata - Trombone

Howard has played with the Monterey Classic Jazz Band, Royal Society Jazz Band and Churchill Street. He's internationally known as trombonist with the High Sierra Jazz Band.  When his schedule permits, he participates in our South Bay jam sets

Pat Dutrow - Banjo

Pat has played with the Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, Professor Plum, and the Natural Gas Jazz Band.

Jim O'Briant - Tuba/Leader

Jim is a member of Ted Shafer's Jelly Roll Jazz Band and a frequent substitute for South Bay Stompers, Mission Gold Jazz Band and other bands
